Amtrak made the national news on the Toys for Tots issue and they look really bad. Really really bad in my opinion.

Mr. Anderson and Mr. Gardner are certainly going to be on Santa's naughty list this Christmas because of this move and all of their other moves designed to hurt passenger rail ridership in America.

Are we sure this came form Mr Anderson ? I think its just as likely to be someone lower down.

If it's from a flunky, i don't think it would have happened without ol' andy knowing.

This is bad, from an ethical and especially from a PR standpoint

I saw it on FOX.

The article quotes Amtrak's statement: "Amtrak will continue to proudly support the Toys for Tots program through the collection of toys at participating stations."

So Amtrak will continue doing what "every other" company does.

Fox dedicated a good segment this morning to the Toys for Tots debacle. One commentator says she is "furious". This is making Amtrak look pretty bad.

Yet the Fox and Friends morning show has one highly specific audience who can do a world of hurt to NRPC should he choose. I hope they don’t rate a tweet, but you never know.
