Sunday morning I caught a glimpse of a chopnose GP7/9 going west through Syracuse. It was painted in a Southern Railway scheme with what looked to be a three digit number. I thought it said Cape Cod Central on it but that seems to be wrong. So I'm not sure what else to search for.

And with CSX who knows where it came from or was supposed to go, too.

Chesapeake & Indiana SD-M No. 815.

Originally a DM&IR high-hood SD9:

DM&IR chopped the nose at some point:

Repaint must be fairly recent! cant find a recent photo of that unit in current paint, except for several posted on facebook over the past few days.

how about CSX bouncing the new GP38-2 for the Middletown and New Jersey... made it to Selkirk, now it's roaming around OHIO...........

It's always possible that 815 was lost, but it could have just been to Selkirk for wheel turning or some other work too.

Okay, I found a video of it taken the 20th in Ohio and that is what I saw.

I was 100 yards away looking through a window in the end of the building, so

If you look for ICBX 815 there's a couple shots on RR Picture Archives.
