180 is on BNSF and rebuilt. It was going between BNSF and RI and was on the latter prior to rebuild. Not sure if it came from rebuild and went directly to the BN.

Observed new liveried #188, Round Lake, on 1270 (22) today.

From what I heard, Progress pretty much fabricates all new body work for all the Metra rebuilds. If the frame is good, 205 might be salvageable. It wouldn't be the first frame-up wreck repair.

At the rate things are moving here in "The land of the Burlingtons", it won't be long until the "sighting" becomes a previous liveried (old; Blue) locomotive.

217 and 98 were at Franklin Park today.

217 is now named Village of Romeoville and 98 Don Fulmer.

That's what I thought as well, but the county sheriff's office said it had to be hauled out in pieces, which implies it was scrapped onsite. There's been no other reporting on it since the wreck.

Is there a "Parts" unit at Progress rail that could replace the now scrapped(?)205?

Two more Winnebagoes have come back from rebuild but have yet to be seen in service: 186 and 189. When it comes to the engines in the 180 series, only 185 and 187 remains to be rebuilt.

186 was the lead engine on a BNSF double header yesterday afternoon. It was pulling F40PH-3 113 along with 10 cars on train 1277, a Naperville/Route 59 express.

208 is back from rehab and it's on the BNSF line with the "Village of LaGrange" name

There are three F59PHIs sitting at Western Ave. 470 is one of them. They are still in Amtrak Cascades livery so they must be recent arrivals. I wonder how long it will be before they are painted and on the road for testing.
