Grand Central Station - Shuttle Platform Work

Does anyone know what's happening on the northernmost Shuttle track at the GC Station platform? It's all boarded up.

Is a new connection being made to the new Vanderbilt project going on above ground?

It is related to sidewalk work being done above for 1 Vanderbilt and is probably part of the connection work being done on the Mezzanine just above track 4.

Sidewalk work has been completed and as of 8/1/17, track 4 is back in operation.
