The last MTA update from January said the new South Ferry terminal was scheduled to reopen in June. Are they going to be able to meet that deadline? We're getting close now.

They have to finish it by the time the Clark Street tunnel goes into weekend closures because equipment from the 2 and 3 isn't allowed to stop at the loop station, and there would be too many trains trying to go through there even if they were.

If they are closing the tunnel how will they service the stations in Brooklyn - would they extend the 4 and 5 services to cover them?

Plan is for the 3 to terminate at 14th Street, the 2 at South Ferry, and the 1 will be running regular service. 4 and 5 trains will be extended to New Lots Avenue and Flatbush Avenue respectively and they will also run local in Brooklyn. There will not be any service at Park Place, Fulton Street, Wall Street, Clark Street, and Hoyt Street on the 2/3. The 2 and 5 will also swap terminals in The Bronx with the 5 going up to Wakefield 241st Street and the 2 going to Eastchester Dyre Avenue. I'm guessing this because ridership is higher on the White Plains Road line, and since the 5 will be running more often to fill in for the 2 in Brooklyn, they're sending it to the busier line. Essentially, 5 trains will operate as 2 trains via Lexington.
