I can't find a power roster online that isn't years old or that only counts stuff they own...whether it's here or elsewhere, living or dead/mostly-dead @ Waterville. Since the current strategy seems to be more leasers going in and more of their own going out on lease, I'd just like to wrap brain about what very approximate quantities we're talking thus far.

Thanks for posting that link, atholrail.

I'm a little confused by the totals at the bottom, though. It shows 16 leased locomotives in service, but I see 19 in-service leasers listed in the body of the roster.

The total number of leasers, whether in service or not, is 27 according to the roster.

345 has "GATX OWNED" now stenciled below and behind the "MEC" marks. It looks really nice, with fresh paint and shiny new side mirrors. Pauducah did a nice job!

No....The 500 & 513 are supposed to be shipped on flatcars to
Paducah. One was loaded months ago, but remains at Waterville.

Anybody heard any news / rumors on these two units. I had almost forgotten about them leaving.

Oddly enough, GMTX 958 is apparently former NW 1342, which means it comes from the same batch of GP40s as MEC 370-380.

Here's what I could find on MEC 500:

The 513 has reports on it travelling on CSX as far as Ohio, but no photos or reports since then.

They were both basically scrap trade-ins or parts donors at LTEX. Don't expect
to see them on the road ever again...

Nice. That explains the new nose/windshields/numberboards/headlights.

The headlight and numberboards were literally cut out of the old short hood, and welded to the new cab front (and they didn't bother leveling it).

Here's what a stock high-nose GP40 headlight/numberboard setup looks like:

Maybe it's an optical illusion but the number boards on the 958 look smaller.
