I found this map, which I'm sure people have seen before, as had I, but I'd overlooked the NYC on a bridge through a good chunk of the village. That would be Spring Creek it's crossing. The map is from 1892.

That image is a portion of the large lithograph hanging in the meeting room at Caledonia Town Hall.

The litho is a fascinating glimpse into Caledonia's early railroad history. Well worth a look if your are in the area!
