Lirr Car Appearance Maintainer

Has anybody received a call or email for the Car Appearance Maintainer/Oiler position that closed on November 1, 2016. I Would love to start a career with the Long Island Railroad by working my way up from entry level. Such a solid company. I applied October 28, 2016. Hope I get called.

I have to laugh. My uncle was a LIRR engineer. One of his sayings was that the cars were cleaner when the position was called coach cleaner.

Has anybody received a call or email for the Car Appearance Maintainer or Station Appearance Maintainer. How often does the Lirr hire cleaners? Do you have to have family working for the Lirr in order to get hired? I applied for different positions and I did not get called.
