Subway Connections to the National Rail Network.

There are older, now disconnected, connections that would be easier to resurrect than creating a new one to 207th. Plus, that would be a really awkward, expensive connection in a stretch of the Hudson line that is very constrained.

If anything,clean up and maintain the NYNJ/NY&A connection at Bay Ridge.(aka the SBK trackage)
OR build a new connection at the "Linden wye" to the NY&A for new car deliveries,
Did Unionport yard(near E180th st yard) in the Bronx have a connection to the New Haven in years past?

What older connections are you referring to? Would that be the abandoned float bridge?

The R156 (MPI/Siemens) diesel switchers were delivered during 2013 (prototype unit 912 2012). Last passenger units delivered by rail were IRT R142s from BBD Plattsburgh 1999-2003.

It did loooong before Coliseum Bus Depot was rebuilt.

--First the switch was removed by Amtrak (MTA 's responsibility to maintain, wasn't interested in doing so, from what I was told). For a few more years you could, while passing by on the Cross Bronx Expressway, see remnants of a single track in the trees beyond what was a MABSTOA parking lot.

--Then the bus depot was rebuilt (old Coliseum building demo'ed and replaced with a proper bus maintenance/parking facility), and the NYW&B structure crossing the facility was removed up to East 177th street.

--Most recently, the structure was removed back to Lebanon Street, one block south of East 180 Street, and apartment buildings erected on the ROW. So that option is gone "forEVAaaaaaaR"
