This article ( http://www1.nyc.gov/office-of-the-mayor ... ailroad#/4" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ) seems to state that the Pratt paper mill on Staten Island used rail. I know they don't now; I haven't seen boxcars on the Island in years, so my question is, when did they stop? Did they ever use rail?
