ChemiosMurphy wrote:Yes blown traction motors have occurred. Propulsion faults causing no traction power or dynamic brake. Auxiliary power failures making the car dead with no light or hvac. Brake control unit faults not allowing brakes to release. Still have door issues especially on curves. Still have sign/announcement issues. Still can't couple to IV's easily. A/c problems are rare but do occur. They have their problems for new cars.bikentransit wrote:Rotem junk won't last 20 years. We're almost a quarter of the way there and they seem fine. Have many blown traction motors or had any major traction issues besides cosmetic things like latches?
The overall experience for riders is a huge improvement over the former and existing fleet. I still have yet to ride in one that has non functional AC in the summer.
