I asked this question on the NS forum. Amtrak Capitol Limited and Lakeshore are taking tremendous delays on NS. For example, between South Bend and Chicago both trains were hit with almost a 5 hour delay today. Its happening routinely. Has NS melted down?
A lot of track work by Elkhart and Porter I'm hearing. It seems like that is a major issue out there right now. NS supposedly said opening a new hump at Bellevue will help them out later this year.
