There were 4 that passed thru lowell yesterday at 2 PM. Towed by 4 various Pan -PM , MEC and HLCX along with 25? mixed cars in tow headed west. The 8555 UP had no engine cowlings. The J that is hand painted under the windows on some of them? I've seen tighter graphitti. I did Not notice the missing gas tank. They are headed somewhere. Good train spotting there mates.

You saw the ex-UP SD90MAC's with JLCX reporting marks. Headed to Chicago for
scrap. They are currently in E. Deerfield.

How does someone that did work for the MMA ,but not now, find out all this information about all these bad order locomotives with these precise defects . Was possibly a manager of some sort, my guess.

Or maybe he just keeps in contact with people who still work there. I know plenty of former/retired railroaders who keep in touch with their buddies who are still working, and they get all the inside dirt. We're fortunate to have a few of them as members.
