My usual train, #734, which I catch at 8.05am at Philipse Manor was formed of M2s this morning, which is as far as I can recall a first for me in the two-and-a-half years I've been commuting on the Hudson line. This train is normally operated by a Shoreliner set, even though it only starts at Croton-Harmon. Obviously the Shoreliners are being more usefully employed on the New Haven line skeleton service, but I was quite surprised to see a red multiple-unit turn up this morning. Maybe we'll get M8s next week?
