Yesterday while driving south on RT17. I saw a Providence &Worcester #2214(which was not the pick 4 # last night) working in Maywood.

That locomotive actually isnt Providence and Worcester but instead RMDI 2214. At one time the unit blew something and oil got everywhere so when they were cleaning all the oil off the P&W was uncovered.

#2214 is owned by RMDI and is in service on the NYSW. I assume at some point the newly uncovered PW lettering will be painted back over.
Those paint schemes look really sharp with a good powerwashing.

That unit along with the two ex Guilford units went up together to take the back half of the SU99 that had to be left behind so the train could make the grade last night. I ask myself...are we in northern New Jersey or Massachusettes?
