Union Pacific Steam Locomotive "Big Boy" 4018 may be back on class 1 rails in tow this weekend for relocation, if you have ever seen one of these monster locomotives moving down the tracks you develop a renewed appreciation for hundreds of skilled trades people that may be forever, unmatched in a manufacturing operation in the State of New York ever again. No computers, no cnc machining centers, just natural born skill and rudimentary tools are all that was available back in the steam manufacturing days. Movement of the Museum's Union Pacific locomotive #4018 is scheduled for this coming Sunday, June 16. Hopefully, there are alco fans on this forum with family in that area, that are able to capture pictures and videos.
