Heads up everyone!! NS 8100 "Nickel Plate Road" Heritage is most likely making a return trip back to the CSX Rochester Subdivision!! As of the report on Heritageunits.com, the 8100 is the third unit on a EB loaded Crude Oil train. The symbol is U-TNDCXY0-44T. Don't know if it will be cut off or not but the train is going onto the CSX line. Here we go again!! :-D

According to heritageunits.com, it's the same power as last week, BNSF 6807 & NS 8028. Looks like an overnight trip through Central NYS this time. Maybe the return trip will be in daylight.

K010-12 was on duty at Buffalo, Frontier Yard at 11:30 pm, was still in North Yard when I left, but crew is on board and should be departing as soon as 1000 mile AB Test is done. Leader is a BNSF swoosh GE, regular NS paint GE and 8100 facing west. Good hunting.

Per a report on NERN:

Power was taken off the oil train at Albany and is heading to Fort Edward on the old D&H to get a dirt train that will come to CSX.
8100 should be leading the dirt train.

The NS 8100 should be on K011 either today or tomorrow. NS 1073 is coming by either Friday or sometime over the weekend on train K010. Also the Conrail heritage is in Binghamton NY on 12T, reported from HU.

According to the Heritage Unit tracker page:

https://heritageunits.com/Locomotive/NS8100

The NKP unit is still in Albany..but last update was 13 hours ago.
As far as I know, that webpage is the most-used and most updated heritage unit tracker page,
anyone know of any other good ones?

Go onto Heritage Units and look at the notes for NKP 8100. It will be on the K011-15 as a trailing unit.
