Hello all,

I am new to the forum. Currently I live in Michigan but I have roots in Ohio. Go OSU!

Anyway, I am researching into interurban and trolley lines in Marion, OH. Very little exists online (at least that I can find).

I ran across a book titled "THROUGH THE HEART OF OHIO" by Jeffrey R. Brashares. Does anyone know anything about this book? Will it have much info regarding Marion? It is out of print so is quite expensive and I don't want to waste my money.

Does anyone have any suggestions on where I might find what I am looking for? Mainly maps, photos, stories about Marion, Ohio Trolley & Interurban lines.

Thanks.

I recently bought this book expecting it to be much more informative than it was. It's only 64 pages long and gives only basic information. It's more of a pictoral than anything else. The pics are pretty cool though.

I am looking for info on a Payne Ave. trolley 300. I have a photograph an it has my great grandfather (Miron Sipe) in it. I have only this photo and one of him in his uniform. I can't read his badge except it has a 108 in the middle. I believe this would be Marion or Galion Ohio. Anyone able to help with this? I am not sure how to attach the photo here but, if you can help me please send me an e-mail at [email protected].
