The IC of the 1950s up to the mid-1960s had very detailed system maps in their public timetables, much better than the Official Guide. GMO also had one in its publics until it was downsized in the early 1960s. Official Guide also has maps, but the IC public folder is a much better one.

best bet would be to go to a local train show you'll find plenty of dealers who just have system maps and time tables for most every railroad past and present.
no matter the weather or the country I'll still be trackside!
