CR B.O 9-7 puts the signals in service at 6:01pm 12-17. For some unknown reason the signals were either lit, or aproach lit over the weekend causing confusion and delay to at least one train.

There are only 5 electric lock switche locations , Bakeilite (old Union Carbide), Stelton Rd, both ends of the Durham R/A. and the Reformatory Branch.

Does anyone know why the Branch has had signals installed and who paid for them? Any talk of more traffic as the reason?

Should have been a Conrail project. Not sure if PANYNJ gave any donations. I would suspect that the North Dakota oil fields might be part of the reason for this...

Another signal is in Roosevelt Park by the Parsonage Road underpass. The former Black Siding began just east of the signal.
