I was doing some exploring west of Lowell, and wondered if the line west of the Chelmsford wye was used at all currently? This line continues towards Nashua, NH, and I know the Bow coal trains go there, do they use this line?

Yes it's still used. Pan Am does have a couple of local switchers based out of Nashua.

I live near the Nashua yard and there's always a scattering of boxcars there.

I went by nashua yard around 10:30am. I noticed that the Nashua switcher was idiling on the tracks ahead of the plow and a Loaded Bow Coal idiling on Main line.
