"Ave Caesar - Nos Morituri te salutamus!!!"

"Hail Caesar - We who are about to die salute you!"

How's that for remembering my high school Latin?

Sometimes the brain works . . . and then there are the other times . . .

Years ago my wife and I were aboard a train stopped on the old trestle while the switches were being thrown during a rather violent thunderstorm. Suddenly one of our fellow passengers began singing "Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful trip..." causing everyone one in the car to burst out laughing. :-D

Not quite.

We were supposed to get off at Oceanside, but it was raining so hard that we decided to stay on to Long Beach and come back on the next train, figuring that would give time for the rain to subside. It hadn't. It was still pouring when we got to Oceanside, again, so we continued on to Lynbrook. There, we caught another eastbound, but this time the rain had ended when we reached Oceanside for the THIRD TIME! All in all, an extra hour of train riding just to avoid getting drenched. :-)
