Possible CSX detour trains over Susie-Q again?

Well back on topic the Q-156 just past Kirkwood, NY at 19:45 hours....CSX 7365 is in the lead....

I went looking for Q 271 after work today as I thought I read where it
was due in Syracuse about 5:15pm. What I did find in Jamesville was
SY-1 airin up his train after pullin 12 loads out of Hanson. Power was
a nasty lookin 3010, 3022( PC would be proud) 3016 in proper y/b attire
and the very sick sounding 2805 (llpx). 76 cars trailing ,this was the biggest SY I've seen in awhile. Beautiful evening so I chased it south
as it only did about 25-30 mph and got all the way to Apulia Station.
Of course I didn't have the camera. This train had the track all the way
to Cortland so I don't know where the Q was tonight. There was also
a crew change at Tully. Is this a normal crew swapping location?

Im not sure if there was or will be a Q271 today. Ive had the scanner on since 1 pm and have not heard a peep from it. The only other thing i think could have happened would be it was sent out early this morning.

Is any of these detour trains a Multi-level train??

I saw one sitting at solvay... I think that they're waiting for new CSX crew to take over..

Powers were not visable from I-690..

By multi-level do you mean autoracks? If so- the first one went up the Syracuse mail last night.

They are called multi-level...autorack is common word.. I would bet it is the different one. this one is most likely westbound. If they're still there after my quitting time, I will try to check to see if there's power on that end. But they're always gone in afternoon whenever I see a parked train in morning.

I was held at the NYSW crossing on Franklin Ave, Wyckoff, NJ Wednesday evening at about 7:30 PM for a long run of northbound autoracks. I assumed it was one of the detour trains. Don't think most people expected a long train at that time of day there, should be an interesting few weeks.

Q271-09, in Little Ferry yard as of 12:30PM today, with CSXT 131(AC44CW) and CEFX 7090(SD40-2 in BN colors), with 117 cars. The SU 100 is enroute with 3012, 3016, HATX 514 and departed Binghamton at approx 0730. Should be an interesting late afternoon. The crew off the 156 will take the Q271 west, and the 100 crew SHOULD trun on the 99. Stay tuned, or check the NYSW yahoo group out for some more detailed and more frequent postings.....

They are probably just run-through units..........I don't know of any CP Rail - NYSW agreement and I know CP does'nt have trackage rights on CSX. They run a trackage rights deal with NS on the Southern Tier.

CP sd90mac (or is it 9043??) actually ran through here? no one ever said anything!!!!

That could well be the Q-271.........last week or so, I saw the 271 come into Frontier Yard in Buffalo around 9:00, so the timing sounds about right.
