Holy smokes. Could that have been the longest train ever operated on the B&M?

M426 CSXT 485 ? by Littleton detector at 10:40 total axles 294.

M427 CSXT 465? by LDD at 11:05 438 total axles 438

What appeared to be the above M427 combo of 465/470/5461 was onto the B&A at 19:48 with a whopping 11 cars. Is there room at Ayer for them to dump 94 cars?

M426 was through Springfield Union Station at 14:55 with 468/3406/968 and 103 cars. No sign of them on the Worcester cam as of 21:00.

At 09:16 M426 CSXT 468 514 total axles through Littleton detector.
Sounds like M427 is at Graniteville waiting.
Radio commentary--
Very active Ch 1 traffic -- besides the 426/427 stuff , L-066 getting Line 12 from D2 for Nashua x-ings, B+E extra 7635 getting 241 from B+E at WL and permission into foreman's work limits to CPF-312, Ch 2 is also very busy, but that's not unusual.

M427 was onto the B&A at 20:53 with 485/464/7283 and 111 cars, after sitting at CP 45 for 50 minutes waiting for the yard crew to clear.

M426 was through Springfield Union Station at 21:57 with the usual three GEVOs and 134 cars. They finally pulled onto the Gardner Branch at 01:27.

M427 CSXT 468 passed Littleton detector at 07:34 -I think it was 562 axles but not sure. Also kind of off topic but B+E said there is apparently a derailment in Hill yard, didn't sound like it would affect 427.

I could be wrong but I think it was M427 that derailed 9 or so cars at the north end of Hill Yard this AM(9/5/24). Empty centerbeams I think. MBTA commuter trains were delayed a bit as I believe the train was hanging out on the east wye?

The derailment I was referring to apparently was a minor one in the yard that happened before M427 arrived and derailed.
At 12:05 FI-2 eastbound with 208 axles through Littleton detector, D2 telling them to drop the cars in Westford and they will go back light engine, most likely pulled off the end of 427 .

With everybody involved here (CSX, MBTA, Keolis, B+E etc.) a good day to stay away from Ayer. A good excuse for the bosses to get out of the office on a nice day and check it out, LOL.

Did the mt centerbeams stringline off the sharp curve of east wye? I have seen videos of 426/427 with blocks of mt centerbeams in the middle of long, heavy trains, which seems like a known risk

It looked like string lining of the block of empty centerbeams, which some Facebook poster said had been used ironically to bring new ties to Maine to rehab decrepit track.

M427 passed through Chester at 20:23 with 468/3406/968 and 61 cars, the tail 15 being empty centerbeams. Given how many continued west, I'm more convinced these were empties coming back from Certainteed in McAdam as opposed to cars bringing in ties, which I haven't seen in a bit.

Looks like M426 didn't run at all.
