I thought this might be more appropriate here than the CSX forum, but I read recently that a grant was awarded to restore rail service to the Tioga Marine Terminal in Port Richmond. This will be nice as it means more volume over the Port Richmond frieght branch. You can catch trains a few times a week moving tanker cars, but that's about the only type of freight car that is back there now. Hopefully with the addition of service to the port terminal we'll see boxcars and other moves soon. Wishful thinking, but would be nice to see the old viaduct cleaned up, and maybe some additional tracks restored.

That would be great. Where did you hear this from?

The tank cars are not the only thing that moves over the Port Richmond branch. Don't forget the stone trains that NS currently runs over there.
