I would like to see a list of all the obs cars used for long distance and the oens used on the NEC. I heard the ones on the NEC Trains (the stainless steel with the boxy ends) were named after peopel like Benjamin Franklin and George Washington.

Can anyone give a complete list of the names of the sleeper, diner, coach and lounge cars? I have these heritage cars in Amtrak Phase 3 (Ho Scale of course) and I would love to give these cars names that the Pennsy used.

I have Walthers coach, obs, lounge and diner cars in my collection. Thanks

I found it interesting that a number of the cars were shown as being built in 1938, however they weren't added to the PRR roster until 1945 according to the notations on the drawings.

Would these have been Pullman owned cars, used on PRR trains and then purchased by PRR when the anti-trust case against Pullman Co was settled?
