I was wondering if any of you knew how the PATH engineer jobs work. Do the engineers work only one line in one day like subway train operators do? Like if you work out of WTC, you can only work the Red in one day and not the Green to HOB? Or is it like the LIRR where you can work more than one line in the system in the same day? e.g. in LIRR your terminal might be Flatbush; you might do one to Hempstead and one to Far Rockaway. Does PATH do it like that, or do you stick to one line in one day?

THANKS

Under contract, unless it's an emergency, the Engineers and Conductors only work one line. When trains terminated at Exchange Place, the train crews from the NWK and HOB trains swapped trains when the got into the terminal because they had to stay on their respective route.

Thanks. Just wondering. On LIRR and MNCW, several assistant conductor jobs and engineer jobs do different lines in one day.
