Around 0525/08-12-2015, D-3 gave SEPO with CSXT 3199 a Form D G-303 at Burncoat. Part of the D-3 side of the conversation was to ask the crew for the fuel readings, explaining a bit later that there had been earlier discrepancies of 500 to 1,000-gallons in what had been reported and that was the reason for requesting the fresh report. When SEPO gave the new reading, D-3 replied that there was a 600-gallon difference, not saying whether the new reading was above or below the earlier one.

Is Pan Am responsible for refueling locos on its turf? I think I've seen csxt locos being refueled at rigby in the past. The fuel usage was incorporated into the horsepower hour calculation right?

Could be a problem with an outside fuel oil vendor overcharging for diesel fuel ?

Any CSX loco built in the last 25 years is going to be significantly more fuel efficient than anything PAR owns. One of the many benefits of using a real railroad's power.

Especially because they have working dynamic brakes. Think of all the wasted fuel over the years from power braking, dating back to the B&M.

What would happen if CSX cut their power off at Barber and left the SEPO train on a fixed up siding between Barber and Garden Street for PAR to pick up with their own power?

Isnt that siding only 3500ft or so? No where long enough for SEPO/POSE. And it would have to be a live meet, 3rd track added, or long shove move to interchange there without Pan Am in town to pick up.

Nothing. They don't have power to move that tonnage.

Likely not. It's doubtful if they had the power they would send something down without telemetry, then they would be limited to 30 mph on the Portland Division.
