Pan Am Railways Paint Scheme (boxcars, etc.)

I read or watched a video on the internet that said the AOK was also leased and that the real AOK gets tones of phone calls regarding the cars and they all get forwarded to the leasing company.

I believe Pan Am has painted a couple GACX? gondola's up Waterville. Caught 5-6 of these freshly painted gons on WAPO at Readfeild, check what it say's just below Paint...

Looks like PAR is starting to blue dip some of the old Maine Central FMC 5347s
which were still in the original Pine Tree scheme and never repainted. Viewed a
very freshly dipped MEC 31948 on this video (second car on SEPO):

I know they did different logos on each side on cars in the past, wondering about these "new" ones. Thanks.

There have been at least a few NewBlue boxes that are (were?) logo-less. Mebbe they'll be or already are retro-logoed. The particular train in Dave Hutchinson's photo had a pretty full range of Pan Am/Guilford paint schemes -- Smurf, gray, and white -- scattered throughout its length.

I have not seen one of these in person. I have also looked at all the photos I can find and can't tell whether the roof on these are silver as on previous similar Pan Am/Guilford boxcars, or are all blue.

Can anyone assist?

Saw the first (for me) Maine Central repainted boxcar today on POSE. The side I photographed had the large Pan Am lettering, and the opposite side had just the small Pan Am Railways lettering.

Answered my own question. At least one of them has a blue roof

These new repaints are interesting to see. The first wave of Pan Am cars was relatively uniform, but this round of dips is anything but standardized. I've so far seen dips with nothing but car info, big PAN AM wordmark, the PA globe logo, the small Pan Am Railways lettering and one with both the wordmark and globe. I've also seen a small american flag, upper part of the car on the end with reporting marks on 3 of the 5 variations. Also some cars are different on opposite sides.

Anybody have list of which cars are painted in the new scheme? Failing that, an estimate of how many?

I thought they might be all on a series, except now we apparently have at lease one MEC blue dip.

I think I recall seeing at least one B&M Blue and gray car.

I saw one of the dark blue dip Pan Am boxcars (BM reporting marks) in South Portland today, and I almost had to do a double-take. The paint is ALREADY fading. The glossiness was completely gone and the color had faded to a weird greenish blue, and a couple of shades lighter.

The paint job can't be more than two and a half years old. This has to be a new record for fading.

And in more Pan Am boxcar color weirdness, one of the light blue/black Pan Am boxcars with the large globe on it managed to darken into a weird indigo/violet color. Conveniently, it was coupled to another blue/black Pan Am boxcar which hasn't really faded just to highlight the difference. I'll post pictures of it once I get home.
