At one time there was a siding that extended southerly from the Norwich freight yard to the vicinity of the old Norwich State Hospital (Fort Point), where it ended with a connection to the main track. Does this siding still exist and, if it does, is it still used by the P&W?

I belive it does and it is!
However, I'm not certain exactly how long that siding is.
I often see cars stored South (RR EAST) of the Shetucket R. bridge in downtown.
