Was the old H&M terminal at Park Place, Newark, a separate building from the old PRR station at Center Street, the one on the loop line? This was before the present Pennsylvania station in the city was built and H&M trains diverted to there.

If I read history right, the PRR's station was at Market Street. And yes, they were separate buildings. Here's a pic of the H&M's terminal at Park Place

I checked into the history of the New Jersey Rail Road, a predecessor of the PRR, and they had a station at Broad & Market near Park Place. I believe the original alignment took the tracks on Park Pl before reaching this station. However, the two railroads never physically shared any station buiding. By the time the H&M began running to Newark this alignment had been moved east.
