While driving down to Delaware on vacation recently and crossing the Delaware Memorial Bridge, I noticed what appeared to be a floatbridge just north of the bridge on the Delaware bank of the river. Anybody know anything about this & it's history? Thanks.

The float bridge was owned by the Reading Rail Road. There was a tug boat and a couple of barges that moved tank cars from DuPont Chambers Works to Delaware and vice versa. Before unleaded gasoline they hauled anti-knock compound. Later it was anhydrous ammonia. There was a small yard near there too. Mostly empties waiting to go across the river.
