Two examples of Form 223 from my collection:

The timetable from 1915 makes mention of connecting NYW&B trains on the Harlem River Branch, but the 1926 timetable does not. Any idea why the omission?

I wonder if the change in the schedule from 1926 had anything to do with NYW&B extending service to Mamaroneck/Port Chester. Did passengers who were originally on New Haven trains and connected with NYW&B trains on the Harlem River Branch buy separate tickets on the connecting trains or was there a shared fare system?

The schedule change had nothing to do with the final completion of the NYW&B's main line (the line to White Plains was the branch line). Remember, it was originally the NYNH&H's hope that the NYW&B would siphon off many of the New Rochelle - Port Chester customers to relieve the NYNH&H of the burden.

With the Interborough Rapid Transit line being completed to Hunt's Point, and eventually Pelham Bay Park, relatively fast, cheap service to midtown and downtown became available, eliminating the 2nd Avenue El connection. The NYNH&H Harlem River Branch service was cut back to Hunt's Point, where the IRT's station was a short walk's distance.

There never was a shared-fare system between the NYW&B and NYNH&H. Trackage was shared, but that was about it.
