Hello,

Would like to get some information on the above car during it's time on the NYC. What paint scheme did it have? who used the car?

Thanks

" What paint scheme did it have?" In 1966 it was two-tone gray.

Great pic of #20 but great for other reasons too. Car is parked at east end of Syracuse Station with the Smith-Corona building in the background. This the building that later in life would be called Mid Town Plaza and serve as P-C Northeastern Region Headquarters in late 60's and early 70's. Believe car to be parked with air attached to raise water in the car, steam connected on west end, and (soil buckets attached) waiting next assignment as car assigned to R.D. (Bob) Timpany then Gen. Mgr. Eastern District at Syracuse. He was a dynamic up and coming leader on the NYC just before merge. As a young paperboy he was on my route for the morning paper living in Dewitt. This association lead to unlimited cab rides on the Mohawk back in the late 50's ,free reign at DeWitt Diesel Terminal, a job in engine service on the West End of the B & A while in college, and an Asst TM job in Utica after discharge from service. This car represents the start of a 38 year journey I made mostly as an officer in engine service. Have to recognize now 60yrs later that people like RDT made the journey possible.

You were a lucky man! Those things just don't happen nowadays - unfortunately.
