I caught this yesterday along the NS Pittsburgh Line in Duncannon, PA.

LOL. A simliar siuation occured last week when an amtrak train running through Manassas, VA had to have an NS Geep put on point because the Amtrak leader's traction motor caught fire.

Not that uncommon. I have a videotape showing an Amtrak train coming into Washington DC Union Station with a dead FP-40, and a NS Geep leading it into the station. The NS Geep obviously came to the rescue and brought the train, with the one dead diesel into DC Union station. By the way, a single E-60 replaced the two FP-40's and took the train from there to Penn Station, NYC.
