I'd like to announce a new opportunity for those that live from the Fresno/Monterrey line north to the Oregon border to join a new railfan group with some fresh insight and ideas. Yeah, I know there is Calrailfans that covers this same area, that has these monthly get togethers to tell fishing stories, 700+ members, and >500 posts a month from the same 5-10 people, but is there any really good ideas of information coming from them?

The primary focus of this group is to act as a courteous and friendly conduit of information in this area. Topics discussed can include history, operations, modeling, memorabilia, and recollections relating to railroading in the Northern Central Valley and California area.

In order to keep the potential of riff raff trolls and self proclaimed experts from joining the community and causing turmoil, group membership is on approval basis. Within this group the owners and moderators will enforce the rules fairly and equally. You will not be told to hit the unsubscribe button if you don't like something nor be beaten down because your opinion does not match someone else’s. Moderators and owners will not engage in open conflicts with other members nor will we ban someone in a childish fit. You would have to do something pretty stupid to get banned.

We only have one rule firmly written in stone; Act like an adult.

If you would like to be involved in a community where all the members are considered equal owners of the group and where you can feel save to offer opinions and information then stop on by http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/NorCalRailfans/ and join.

Thanks

Ron
