I've noticed there is a list of Via Rail train stations that include stations that Via Rail does not serve. While I understand there are arrangements to buy AMT & GO Transit tickets with your Via purchase, I've noticed there are other train stations listed that don't currently have train service (many from the ONR) or are served by a third party.

Seems rather odd that Via would bother listing these communities at all since most of which do not have train service at this time. Also perplexed as to why the ACR stations like Sault-Ste-Marie, Searchmont, Hawk Junction & Dubreuilville from the ACR aren't listed.

Thoughts?

Via Rail openly mention being pertners with several intercity bus companies. Heck, on their website, they even mention being Partner with RTC, Québec City's Public transport service (It only go as far as St-Augustin, beyond Ste-Foy, by road.)

That may be the reason they mention these station; because they might be served by one of their partners, even if they are not Trains services.
