I am researching a non-revenue car (a former bunk car) that may have been converted from a ca. 1929 outside-braced automobile car with dreadnaught ends. It is currently in Railroad Heritage Park in Laramie, Wyoming. It was previously used by the Wyoming-Colorado Railroad as a ticket office in Laramie. Based on the ACI panels, the former owner was UP, it was a non-revenue car, and its number was 906778. A current photo of the car is attached. I would like to know about the history of this car: on what lines did it serve? what was it used for? and when was it converted? Any research suggestions or contacts would be appreciated. We are preparing a National Register of Historic Places nomination for the Snow Train in Railroad Heritage Park of which this car is a part.
