I saw the NS Stacker from about two miles away, and I couldn't tell what it was. Binoculars wouldn't even work. All I could tell is that it was black. He was moving about 60. I heard him honking for the other crossings. The horn was sweet! As it got closer, I looked into the binoculars and it was blue. The right engine was leading today! A Conrail SD60 flew by with an NS Dash 9 trailing. While the Conrail was further away, he'd dim his lights, then turn them back on. He repeated that process about 4 times. This was a nice treat for me!
