New SEPTA Schedules https://wwww.septa.org/bulletins/new-fa ... schedules/

The big highlight:
WEEKEND – New schedules on ALL lines, most with EARLIER departure times
‑ AIRPORT LINE: Full restoration of 30‑minute service to Philadelphia International Airport.
Still short of the old schedule for weekend service looking at the R5, plus I really want those late night trains back on Friday. That being said I'm just happy we're finally getting there

Per the inquirer:
SEPTA began planning the coming Regional Rail service increases early in 2023 to begin growing ridership again, Sauer said, and is able to staff more trains because it has recruited and trained additional engineers. It had a record low roster of fewer than 175 engineers 18 months ago and now has 189, Sauer added.
Looks like they've overcome their staffing shortage, they've still got a ways to go. All eyes will be on Harrisburg the next couple of months when the funding runs out

CV and Everyone - With SEPTA listing the RRD schedule changes effective September 8, 2024 -
They will be back to 80 percent of service as compared to February 2020 before "The Problem"
began...Good to see that the gradual return of RRD ridership continues along with more RRD
Engineers to run these trains in response to crew staffing shortages...

The important change that I took notice to is the elimination of two hour daytime gaps on some
RRD routes all seven days - which can be considered a main improvement of the new timetable...
