New roundhouse museum in Biggar, Saskatchewan

Just thought I would post this article about the efforts to convert the old GTP roundhouse in Biggar, Saskatchewan, Canada into a museum.

This has just hit the main stream and is being picked up by Newspapers, radio, TV and countless magazines. There is rolling stock being offered and some organizations have already committed funds when this gets secured. It looks like it might have a fighting chance.

Hi All, just thought I would give an update on the progress;

Time is ticking down on the fate of the building but there is still hope.

There are now at least 2 Ministers of Parliament who are assisting in the cause to preserve the roundhouse . Heritage Canada is also helping to assist and placed it on Canada's 10 most endangered and a letter has been sent to CN's legal Vice-President from the Canadian Government requesting explanation of CN's intent on this matter.

If there is no answer in the next 2 months though, the building might have to go down due to time and projected expenditure.
