NH&I ran 1925 Baldwin Consolidation #40 with a photo freight charter last Sunday for final pix in its original Lancaster & Chester livery before being returned to its NH&I appearance.

.Nice photo's Bob.Does anyone know if there's any kind of public transportation directly from Philly to New Hope?
I know Trans-Bridge bus has service from Doylestown.but I'd rather not go round about way if I don't have to.Was there for the first time 2 years
ago while visiting with family in Clinton,NJ.Would liketo spend a day or 2
in town.

Great Shots Bob!
Does anyone know if two of those tank cars in the photos are the ones that had been sitting on the Hartzel siding in Chalfont on the Doylestown branch for years until the NH&I picked them up last year? They look very similar IIRC.

Yup. Only the old wooden Standard Brands tank car that was there hasn't been part of the photo charters because the wooden tank, which was rotten, had to be demolished before it could be transferred to Ivyland. Amazingly enough, it features roller bearings and double-shelf couplers. It had been somewhat recently shopped by TCCA of Oreland. However, it does need some new springs. It is currently parked on the siding at Bristol Road.
