Well it seems as if the 270 has a new hood ornament/sand fill mascot. We have yet to learn his real name, but I think we shall soon find out.

Actually his cousin "PYRITE" is on the Bushwick job but he only comes out to the engine at night...I hear if you listen carefully he can actually claw the mic and squeaks away on channel three....

In 2000 got a shot of Animal staring out of 271 in Patchogue. I guess he went with former employee when they left the company.

How long is the spur that 270 is parked on, and what is it's car capacity (if used for car storage) or what customer is served by it?

The useable part of the spur can hold about 30 cars, although there are times when management thinks it is the equivalent of Selkirk Yard. Several customers are serviced off the spur.
