New Geometry Train Power

From rrpics.net today: Ex-MBTA/MARC Geeps being painted for CSX and assigned to geometry train (see link to pic). Curious - did these ever get rebuilt? Aren't these GP40WH a bit long-in-tooth? It's an interesting look and hopefully they work out, just curious.

Probably no more long in the tooth than the turds that run with the business train. I've never crewed it personally but I've talked to people who have and they say they're pretty much ragged-out hunks of junk that damn near throw you out of the seat going over rough switches and whatnot.

FYI, MBTA never leased the 69.

Also, TrainOrders says this particular unit was overhauled at Huntington shops before entering service.
