Just a few years ago the former Reading Topton-Kutztown and Pottstown-Boyertown branches seemed left for dead.

Good news…this Spring of 2015 you can ride both of them!

The Colebrookdale Railroad started excursion operations on the Boyertown line last year, and weekend trips resume starting March 28.
Check out their website at http://www.colebrookdalerailroad.com

Excursion trains will once again return to the Kutztown line courtesy of the Allentown and Auburn Railroad.
Easter excursions will run from Kutztown on March 28, 29 and April 4, 2015. Trips start at 10 a.m on the 28th and 4th and 11 a.m. on the 29th, and run hourly until 4 p.m.
Visit http://allentownandauburnrr.com for more details.

Freight traffic is basically nonexistent on these lines, so they rely on excursions for their livelihood. So if you don't want to see these lines abandoned, put your money where your mouth is and purchase a ticket!
Spread the word! See you on the train!
