This is a long shot, but nothing ventured, etc.....
In the early 1970's, there was an old rail-mounted steam crane stored derelict at Rochester Yard. It sat on the east end of track 2 Coach, about behind the Beechnut plant. The boom had been removed. I believe, but am not positive, that it came from Despatch Shops when they were closed down. At some point it was shoved off the end of the track and the east end sank into the mud. I'd suspect it was eventually cut up for scrap where it sat.
Anybody happen to have a photo of the poor old thing?
