I have a friend that has been writing a book on a local railroad in the Chester County, Pa. for the past 25 years. He has been in search of a Presidential coach that was used by Eisenhower and Nixon on their campaigns. The coach was a PRR Pullman built in 1913 , it was last painted in Green with Delaware with the No. 90. It has an open platform.

It was moved from St. Peters Village in 1970 to Ambler to be used as a restaurant called Coach Inn. The owner at that time was J.A. Meyer as the newspaper states.

Any information on where this coach may be would be great.

Thank you,
Len and James Lockart.

Sorry to say this is what happened to the Delaware:

"Car # 90 "Delaware" was last intact at the Coach Inn at Fort Washington,

Pa. The motel owner wasn't interested in letting go (even for some

$$$$$) for restoration and had her cut up buy a water tank dismatler

from the south. The trucks and the real platform railing were bought

from the scrapper by Juniata Terminal."

Bennet Levin of the Juniata Terminal Co. may be able to provide more information if you or your friend are able to contact him.

Trackhiker, do you know the heritage of the remaining two cars at the "Coach Inn"? Although they're now a Subway restaurant and the hotel is a Best Western, I'll always call it the Coach.

From the B&O thread:
"Members of the Yahoo group indicate that the tail car from the Royal Blue is the car used as a sandwich shop. car # 3301

"Diner is tail car from the 1938 Royal Blue set. THe
combine is one of the cars from the 1946 Cincinnatian.

I compared the photos that Brian sent and due to the window
arrangement I believe the car that he referred to as a diner is
really Z-1A 3301.
