In my original message on Monday mayy 22, 2006 I forgot to clarify where Bordentown Avenue exactly is, in Sayreville/Old Bridge NJ. Middelsex County
The area I'm referring to is south of "The Hole In the Wall" trestle that goes over Ernston Road near where Ernston Road & Bordentown Ave.intersect. The foundation of this structure is only visible from the trackside. I have a 1936 PRR timetable doesn't list this building or tower,
I had found out that prior to April 1930 the Amboy Secondary Branch or Track was part of the PRR trenton Division. After April 1930 Amboy Secondary Branch/Track became part of the New York Division
If anyone has any information on what this small structure was I would definitley like to know. Unable to get into the structure because over the years it has been filled with brush and debris. Thank you Steve Coraggio I can be reached at [email protected]
