Motive Power update

GMTX 9000, the former SD60 shared leaser between VRS and P&W is now on lease to NYSW. Apparently two more SD60s on the way as well at some point.

GMTX 9014 and GMTX 9059 coming from Metro East in East St Louis. Think one might have been an EMD Demo unit.

Gmtx 9014 and Gmtx 9059 both did time on the P&W along with GMTX 9000. All three will be reunited again. They were the standard power on CHFP/FPCH.

Are all of these GMTX lettered units still on the line? I heard a report that one was spotted (in Louisville Ky?) with susquehanna markings painted out already

9000 is still in the blue VRS/PW scheme. 9014 still painted and lettered for NYSW, but carrying the GMTX reporting mark. Both of these units appear to be still serving in NY, noting pictures of both in Cortland taken this month.

9059 is still in the black and yellow, but has indeed been painted out. The most recent picture I can find is from March, it's lashed up with several RJ Corman units in Lexington, KY. Perhaps it's new home?

Bumping thread: Railfans of NYS&W Facebook page posting of 10/30/20 indicates that NYS&W is picking up 5 stored Norfolk Southern locomotives: 4 SD70M-2 units (built in 2005 & 2006) and 1 SD40-2. Here's a photo of Binghamton bound NS train 310 departing Elkhart at 0311 11/1/20 towing SD70M-2 2751 as the 3rd unit.

NYSW 4060 (formerly NS 2751) is sitting outside the shop in Binghamton. Solid black with stenciled reporting marks for now, NS 3553 hasn't been touched yet.

Can anyone provide a current roster with paint status?? Much appreciated.

9014/9059 have indeed been working for Corman for some time, leading a Z546 a few days ago.
