A member in my family works for CSX and insists that if one of us test positive, he immediately needs to quarantine for 20 days. I don't know if the policy he is talking about is old, because a lot of places have updated/relaxed their policies. I also don't know if it is corporate wide, or depending on the area one works.

So, my question is, if one of us ends up sick/testing positive at some point, and this family member is
a) vaccinated
b) not home the majority of the time (including sleeping approx. 80% of the time).
c) Doesn't have symptoms himself
d) is from NYS
would he automatically have to quarantine for 20 days?

Appreciate answers -- he is hyper focused on this topic and it is driving me crazy. I'd love for him to be wrong so he can relax.

Thanks so much.
